Support for Children and Young People

Kinship Forum

To ensure that young people in kinship care have a safe and inclusive space to share their experiences, the Voice of the Child Apprentice Team, led by Jamie, has launched a Young Person Forum for children and young people aged 11–17 years old.

The forum will offer a non-judgemental environment where young people can express their feelings, connect with others in similar situations, and help shape support offered by Telford and Wrekin Council. Activities and events will be fun and designed around the interests of members.

If you would like to sign up please contact: yourvoicematters@telford.gov.uk

For more information please read our leaflet.

The calm café is a safe and welcoming space to support anyone aged 18-25 who find themselves in crisis or require support for their mental health or emotional wellbeing.

Young Person Newsletters

The Voice of the Child Apprentice Team have created newsletters which are designed for young people who are supported by our children’s services. They are packed with valuable information, exciting opportunities and details of participation events to help you stay informed and involved.
